The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 86429 is a solid carbide high-feed end mill engineered for aggressive material removal in demanding milling applications. Built on a 5-flute, variable-pitch geometry with a chipbreaker profile, it delivers high metal removal rates while reducing chatter and heat buildup. The Tplus coating provides enhanced wear resistance and lubricity suited for ferrous and high-strength alloys. Coolant-through design channels fluid directly to the cutting zone, extending tool life and improving chip evacuation in deep-cavity and high-feed operations. This is a single-end tool with a 0.25-inch mill diameter and a 0.75-inch length of cut.
This end mill is suited for high-feed milling and high-efficiency milling (HEM) strategies in CNC machining centers. The combination feed and HEM capability makes it applicable in aerospace, die-mold, and general precision machining environments where cycle time reduction and tool longevity are critical. The 0.0314-inch program radius supports the shallow axial depth, high radial engagement toolpaths typical in modern CAM-driven high-feed cycles. Machinists and CNC programmers working with hardened steels, stainless, and tool steels are the primary users.
Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS Feed Mills - Combination Feed and HEM - 5 Flute - Chipbreaker - Variable Pitch - Coolant Through series. Designed for use with standard 0.25-inch diameter tool holders including ER collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit holders compatible with a 0.25-inch shank.
Installation and operation of this tool should be performed by qualified CNC machinists familiar with high-feed and HEM toolpath programming. Confirm tool holder runout is within acceptable limits before operation, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling. Ensure coolant-through capability is active at the spindle before running high-feed cycles. Follow the tool manufacturer feed and speed recommendations and do not exceed the rated program radius when programming axial depth of cut.
