The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 86369 is a solid carbide, lens form barrel cutter end mill engineered for multi-axis finishing operations on stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. With a 0.5 inch length of cut, 0.5 inch shank diameter, and a 3 inch overall length, this tool is built for the demanding tolerances and material characteristics found in aerospace, medical, and energy component machining. The Tplus finish coating improves lubricity and wear resistance, extending tool life in difficult-to-machine materials. Four flutes deliver a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality on contoured and 5-axis toolpaths.
This end mill is intended for use in multi-axis CNC machining centers where barrel or lens form geometry allows the tool to take wider stepovers on curved surfaces compared to standard ball nose end mills. Typical applications include turbine blades, impellers, mold cavities, and other complex 3D contour finishing passes. It is suited for professional machinists and tool and die shops running stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and similar high-temp alloy workpieces.
