The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 84321 is a 6-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance metal removal in demanding materials. With a 0.500-inch mill diameter, a 1.250-inch length of cut, and a 0.0300-inch corner radius, this tool balances rigidity and reach for both roughing and finishing passes. The Tplus PVD coating delivers elevated hardness and heat resistance, making this end mill well suited for stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steels. Variable pitch geometry reduces harmonic chatter, and through-coolant capability supports chip evacuation in deep-pocket and slotting operations. Machinists and toolroom technicians running precision CNC milling operations select this tool for its consistent performance in difficult-to-machine workpiece materials.
The 84321 is designed for use in CNC machining centers handling stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steel workpieces. Its single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry and full slot milling without a pilot hole. The 0.500-inch straight cylindrical shank is compatible with high-precision toolholders, and the HEVC-6 series geometry is optimized for finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are critical. This tool fits applications in aerospace, medical, mold-and-die, and general precision machining environments where workpiece hardness and heat generation are primary concerns.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steels as specified by material codes M, S, and H. Series HEVC-6.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician. Confirm the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool change sequence is complete before handling or seating the end mill. Use a high-precision collet or shrink-fit toolholder to achieve maximum runout control; maximum TIR is 0.0005 inches. Inspect the tool shank and toolholder bore for contamination or damage before each setup.
