The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 84049 is a 4-flute square end mill designed for high-performance milling in stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. Built from solid carbide and finished with a Tplus coating, this tool delivers the hardness and heat resistance these materials demand. The 3/32-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1/2-inch length of cut, making it well suited for slotting and peripheral milling in tight geometries. A variable index flute spacing helps interrupt harmonic vibration, reducing chatter and extending tool life in demanding cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in aerospace, medical device, and industrial fabrication environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill belongs to the Helical Solutions End Mills for Stainless and High Temp series, 4-flute square variable pitch configuration. It is intended for use on CNC machining centers where stainless steel grades, nickel alloys, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine materials are routinely processed. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard 1/4-inch collets and end mill holders, making it compatible with most CNC tool holding systems in a production shop environment.
Designed for use in the Helical Solutions End Mills for Stainless and High Temp series applications. Compatible with CNC machining centers using standard 1/4-inch end mill holders or collet chucks. Intended for stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, titanium, and other high-temperature materials.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for runout tolerances, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide end mills. Refer to your facility safety program and applicable OSHA machining standards during setup.
