The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 83300 is a solid carbide, 4-flute ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. It carries a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 7/8-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length. The Tplus PVD coating provides wear resistance and heat management during aggressive cutting cycles. A variable index flute geometry reduces harmonics and chatter, making this tool well-suited for both roughing and finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers running production or job-shop work are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is rated for primary use on stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials under material codes M, S, and H. Secondary applications include steel, stainless steel, and cast iron under codes P, M, and K. The stub-length profile and straight-cylindrical shank keep deflection low in setups where rigidity is critical. It is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with a right-hand spiral flute direction and a 35-degree helix angle. The 83300 is part of the HSV-4 series, which is Helical Solutions' 4-flute variable-index ball geometry line targeted at difficult-to-machine alloys.
Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HSV-4 series. Designed for CNC milling applications targeting stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, hardened materials, steel, and cast iron. Fits any standard 3/4-inch tool holder or collet accepting a straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Verify tool holder bore and collet size match the 3/4-inch shank before mounting. Confirm runout does not exceed the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum after tightening in the holder, as excess runout accelerates edge wear. Always program feeds, speeds, and depths of cut per the machine tool capability and workpiece material before beginning a cut cycle.
