The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 83275 is a 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in stainless steels, superalloys, titanium, and other hard materials. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1/4 inch length of cut, and a 1-1/2 inch overall length. The Tplus PVD coating provides enhanced wear resistance and lubricity at the cutting edge, extending tool life in demanding applications. A variable index geometry reduces harmonics and chatter during aggressive cuts, making this tool suitable for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, medical, and high-precision manufacturing will find this tool well-suited to their material requirements.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are critical. Its primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, with secondary capability in general steel and cast iron. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collets and end mill holders with a 1/8 inch bore. The standard-length profile makes it practical for most shallow-pocket and contour milling operations where a ball nose profile is required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium; secondary compatibility includes general steel and cast iron.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder matched to the 1/8 inch shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout does not exceed the maximum TIR of 0.0005 inches after tool installation to maintain cutting performance and tool life.
