The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 83194 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. With a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter and a 1 inch length of cut, it delivers aggressive material removal in demanding production environments. The variable index flute geometry reduces harmonic vibration during cuts, while the 35-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and surface finish. The Tplus coating provides enhanced lubricity and heat resistance suited to ferrous and high-temp alloy applications. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shop and production machining environments.
The 83194 is built for milling steel, stainless steel, and cast iron in both roughing and finishing operations. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration and straight shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/16 inch shank diameter, it fits tight-clearance setups where reach is limited. It belongs to the Helical Solutions series for stainless and high-temp materials and is suited to CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills running fractional-inch tooling.
Designed for milling steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Primary workpiece material codes P, M, and K. Fits standard straight-shank collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and locked. Seat the straight shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification before operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut. Consult your machine tool manual and applicable shop safety standards for speeds, feeds, and coolant setup appropriate to the workpiece material.
