The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 83095 is a 5-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for roughing operations in stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steel. It features a 3/16-inch diameter with a 0.01-inch corner radius and a 3/4-inch length of cut. The chipbreaker geometry and variable pitch reduce harmonics and chatter during aggressive material removal. A Tplus PVD coating provides thermal resistance and edge durability. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and is suited for licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with difficult-to-machine materials on CNC milling equipment.
This end mill is part of the HEV-C-5 series, which is engineered specifically for stainless steel and high-temperature alloy applications. The chipbreaker rougher geometry breaks chips into shorter segments, reducing the heat and built-up edge common when cutting materials such as 300-series stainless and nickel-based superalloys. Secondary workpiece materials include steel and cast iron. The straight cylindrical shank is sized at 3/16 inch and is compatible with high-precision toolholders. Medium length classification makes it well suited for standard CNC machining center setups where rigidity is a priority.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steel. Secondary workpiece materials include steel and cast iron. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HEV-C-5 series.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists on properly maintained CNC milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a high-precision toolholder and verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005-inch maximum TIR specification before beginning a cut. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut when programming toolpaths for stainless steel or high-temperature alloy workpieces.
