The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 82996 is a 5-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding material removal in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It carries a 3/8-inch mill diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 0.09-inch corner radius. The Tplus PVD coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance suited to high-temperature alloy machining. The variable-pitch flute geometry reduces harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts. This tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup, making it a practical choice for shops running tight-tolerance work in difficult materials.

The 82996 belongs to the Helical HEV-5 series, designed specifically for stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium applications. It is a single-end, centercutting tool with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter, and the 3-inch overall length fits standard milling chucks and high-precision toolholders. Installation Notes

Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a high-precision toolholder and verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum before cutting. Ensure the spindle and any workpiece clamping are secured before engaging the tool. Consult machine and toolholder manufacturer specifications for appropriate torque values and clamping procedures.
