The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 82665 is a solid carbide high-feed end mill designed for aggressive material removal in steel alloys up to 45 Rc hardness. Built with a 4-flute, variable-pitch geometry and a reduced neck profile, this tool minimizes chatter and vibration during high-feed milling operations. The 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) mill diameter and 0.1250 inch length of cut make it well-suited for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter applications. The Tplus coating provides enhanced lubricity and wear resistance for extended tool life in ferrous machining environments. Sold as a single-end tool with a 1/8 inch shank and 2 inch overall length.
This end mill is intended for high-feed milling strategies in steel and hardened steel materials up to 45 Rc. The reduced neck and 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) reach length allow access to deeper features while maintaining rigidity. It is suited for CNC machining centers running high-feed toolpaths where chip thinning and axial depth of cut are managed programmatically. The 0.0157 inch program radius is used when setting up high-feed toolpath offsets in CAM software. Machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, die and mold, and precision component manufacturing are the primary users of this tool.
Designed for use in the High Feed End Mills - Steels up to 45 Rc - Variable Pitch - Reduced Neck series. Intended for CNC machining centers using standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill holders compatible with high-feed milling strategies in steel alloys up to 45 Rc hardness.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify program radius offset values in the CAM setup match the 0.0157 inch specified for this tool before running the first pass.
