The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 82106 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous metals. It carries a 1/8 inch mill diameter, a 0.5 inch length of cut, and a 0.0100 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations and extends tool life at the cutting edge. The 3-flute geometry with variable pitch and a 35-degree medium helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces chatter during aggressive cuts. A Zplus PVD coating adds surface hardness and lubricity suited to aluminum and non-ferrous applications. This end mill is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC milling operations where tight tolerances and finish quality are required.
This end mill is sized for light-duty to medium milling work on aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and secondary materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials. The 2.5 inch overall length and straight-cylindrical 1/8 inch shank make it compatible with high-precision toolholders commonly used in CNC machining centers. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry and full helical interpolation. The long flute type and roughing material removal classification suit both slotting and profiling passes where chip load management is critical.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metals; secondary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials. Part of the H35ALV-C-3 series.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Seat the shank fully to the recommended grip length in a high-precision toolholder to maintain the 0.0003 inch maximum TIR specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, and verify that feeds, speeds, and depth of cut are within the tool manufacturer guidelines for the workpiece material being machined.
