The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 82012 is a single-end, corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous metal applications. Built from solid carbide with a Zplus PVD coating, this tool features a 3/8-inch diameter, a 0.0600-inch corner radius, and three flutes with a variable pitch and medium helix angle. The chipbreaker geometry supports efficient chip evacuation during roughing operations. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-inch length of cut, it fits standard milling setups and is compatible with high-precision toolholders. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tooling in both job shop and production environments.
This end mill is engineered primarily for aluminum and non-ferrous metals, with secondary capability in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. The H35ALV-C-3 series targets applications requiring controlled corner radius geometry and consistent surface finish in roughing passes. The 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank fits collet chucks and end mill holders sized for high-precision toolholding. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry where required by the machining operation.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metal; secondary materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. Part of the H35ALV-C-3 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout against the stated maximum TIR of 0.0003 inches before production cuts. Do not exceed the toolholder's rated speed or the cutting parameters recommended for the workpiece material and coating type.
