The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 81926 is a 6-flute solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in stainless steels, high-temp alloys, and hardened materials. With a 1/4 inch mill diameter and a 3/4 inch length of cut, this single-end tool carries a Tplus PVD coating that extends tool life in demanding cutting environments. The variable index geometry reduces harmonic vibration during aggressive passes, making it suitable for both roughing and finishing operations. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this tool for applications where standard coatings and geometries fall short on difficult workpiece materials.
This end mill is built for shops running stainless steel and high-temperature alloy components where heat buildup and work hardening are primary concerns. Secondary workpiece materials include steel and cast iron. The 37-degree right-hand helix, center-cutting capability, and spiral flute geometry allow plunge entry and full-slot or peripheral milling. The 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER and set-screw collet systems. With a 2.5 inch overall length and standard reach, it fits most vertical machining center spindles without extended-reach toolholders.
The 81926 is part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HEV-6 series and is designed for milling stainless steel, high-temp alloys, hardened materials, steel, and cast iron. It fits standard 1/4 inch collet and toolholder systems with a straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and operation of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC programmers following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Verify spindle runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR before use, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades cut quality. Secure the shank fully within the collet or toolholder, and confirm all drawbar and retention hardware is properly torqued before spindle engagement. Follow shop safety protocols for chip clearance and coolant direction when operating at elevated speeds in abrasive workpiece materials.
