The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 81755 is a 5-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It features a 1/2-inch mill diameter with a 0.0100-inch corner radius and a 1-1/4-inch length of cut. The APLUS PVD coating extends tool life and improves wear resistance across a wide range of workpiece materials. Variable pitch geometry reduces chatter and harmonic vibration during both roughing and finishing passes. This tool is used by machinists and CNC operators in precision machining environments where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are required.
The 81755 is suited for side milling, slotting, and profiling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling. The straight cylindrical 1/2-inch shank is compatible with high-precision toolholders, making it a practical choice for CNC machining centers handling production runs in steel, cast iron, and difficult-to-machine alloys. The HEV-5 series is a regular-length design intended for general-purpose material removal where both roughing and finishing passes are performed with a single tool.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC machining centers. Primary workpiece materials are steel and cast iron. Secondary materials include stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HEV-5 series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The tool must be seated fully and securely in a high-precision toolholder to maintain the stated TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing any cutting tool. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended runout and clamping torque specifications for 1/2-inch shank tooling.
