The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59957 is a 7-flute corner radius end mill manufactured from solid carbide and designed for high-demand metal removal in stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steel. It carries a 0.030 inch corner radius, a 0.5 inch mill diameter, and a 1.25 inch length of cut. The Tplus PVD coating provides elevated wear resistance and thermal protection during aggressive cutting cycles. Variable pitch geometry reduces harmonic chatter, which is critical when machining difficult materials at high spindle speeds. This tool is suited for machinists and CNC operators working in precision manufacturing, aerospace, medical, and general job shop environments.
The 59957 is built for both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool, reducing the need to change tools mid-operation. With a 3 inch overall length and a 0.5 inch straight cylindrical shank, it seats directly in high-precision toolholders such as shrink-fit, hydraulic, or high-accuracy collet chucks. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steels. Secondary workpiece materials include general steel and cast iron. The single-end, right-hand cutting geometry is standard for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal machining center setups.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders including shrink-fit, hydraulic, and high-accuracy collet chuck systems. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HEV-7 series. Primary workpiece materials: stainless steel, high-temperature alloy, and hardened steel. Secondary workpiece materials: steel and cast iron.
Installation is performed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians. The shank diameter tolerance is h6, so toolholder bore cleanliness and runout verification are required before seating. Confirm toolholder TIR meets or exceeds the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification for this tool. Power down the spindle and follow lockout/tagout procedures before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder.
