The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59915 is a 6-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built on the HEV-6 series platform, it features a 0.0300-inch corner radius, a 1/4-inch cutting diameter, and a 3/8-inch length of cut. The Tplus PVD coating improves wear resistance and extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature applications. Variable pitch geometry reduces harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts, making this end mill well-suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace, and precision manufacturing environments are the primary users of this tool.
The 59915 is optimized for stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steels. Its centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the right-hand spiral flutes with right-hand cutting direction suit standard CNC machining center setups. The stub-length configuration provides rigidity in tight-reach scenarios. High precision toolholders are recommended to maintain runout within the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum specification. This tool is appropriate for finish contouring, pocket milling, and profile work where corner geometry control is critical.
Designed for use with high precision toolholders in CNC machining centers. Primary workpiece materials include stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steels. Secondary workpiece materials include non-ferrous metals and hard materials.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully stopped and machine controls in a safe state. Use a high-precision toolholder such as a shrink-fit or hydraulic chuck to stay within the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum and protect the cutting edge geometry. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear before each setup. Follow the tool manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material to avoid premature coating failure or edge breakage.
