The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59876W is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life at workpiece corners. The five-flute, variable-pitch geometry minimizes harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts, supporting both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. A Tplus PVD coating enhances wear resistance and heat tolerance. The 3 inch overall length and 1/2 inch Weldon flat shank make it compatible with high-precision toolholders used in CNC machining centers.
This end mill is built for machinists and toolroom operators working in demanding materials, particularly stainless steel grades and high-temperature alloys including titanium and superalloys. It is suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles where corner integrity and surface finish matter. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the toolholder bore and tighten the set screw against the flat to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005 inch TIR maximum before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and can damage the workpiece.
