The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59863 is a 5-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. With a 0.25 inch cutting diameter, a 0.030 inch corner radius, and a 0.75 inch length of cut, this tool is built for both roughing and finishing operations on difficult-to-machine materials. The Tplus PVD coating provides elevated wear resistance and thermal stability. Variable pitch geometry reduces harmonic chatter, improving surface finish and tool life across a range of cutting conditions. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool intended for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC milling applications.
This end mill is optimized for stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, making it suitable for aerospace, medical device, and precision industrial machining. Secondary applications include non-ferrous metals and hard materials. The straight cylindrical shank and right-hand flute and cutting direction are standard for vertical machining centers and high-speed milling setups. It fits within the HEV-5 series, which targets high-efficiency milling where tool life and chip evacuation are critical. CNC machinists and tooling engineers in job shops and production environments are the typical end users.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC milling applications. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium; secondary materials include non-ferrous metals and hard materials. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HEV-5 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and in an e-stop state. Ensure the straight cylindrical shank is seated fully and securely in a high-precision toolholder to maintain runout within specification. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and tooling documentation for appropriate speeds, feeds, and clamping torque values before use. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each setup.
