The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59837 is a 5-flute, solid carbide square end mill engineered for demanding cutting applications in stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter and 1/2 inch length of cut, this tool delivers controlled material removal in difficult-to-machine materials. The Tplus coating reduces friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge, extending tool life in abrasive applications. Variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic chatter, improving surface finish and dimensional accuracy. This end mill is designed for use by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC milling operations.
This end mill is suited for milling stainless steel grades and high-temperature alloys such as Inconel, titanium, and similar materials in both job shop and production environments. The 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC routers. It is intended for right-hand cutting with right-hand helical flutes. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling passes.
Designed for use in the HELICAL SOLUTIONS End Mills for Stainless and High Temp 5 Flute Square Variable Pitch series. Fits standard 1/4 inch straight bore end mill holders and ER collet chucks used in CNC vertical machining centers and similar milling platforms.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in an estop or locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Ensure the collet or tool holder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Torque the collet nut or set screw to the tool holder specification provided by the holder manufacturer. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before production cutting in tight-tolerance applications.
