The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59821 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for high-performance chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on metalworking applications. Built with a 3-flute helical geometry, this single-end tool produces clean, consistent 90-degree chamfers with a right-hand cutting direction. The 3/8 inch cutter head diameter and 3/8 inch shank diameter make it a straightforward drop-in for standard collet and end mill holders. A Zplus coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production facilities, and toolroom environments are the primary users of this tool.
This chamfer mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and multi-axis equipment where edge preparation and chamfer profile work are required. It performs well on ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel alloys, aluminum, and stainless steel. The helical flute design improves chip evacuation during cutting, reducing heat buildup at the cutting edge. With a 2-1/2 inch overall length and a 0.153 inch length of cut, it fits standard toolholding systems without extended-reach adapters in most common setups.
Designed for use in standard 3/8 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and ER-style collets on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. No specific OEM machine model compatibility is stated by the manufacturer for this tool.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the set screw or collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before mounting. A qualified machinist or CNC operator should verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning a production cut.
