The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59435 is a 6-flute solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys including titanium. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter with a 1/2 inch length of cut and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The APLUS PVD coating improves wear resistance and thermal stability during aggressive cuts. Variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic vibration, making this tool well suited for both roughing and finishing passes. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill is built for use in machining centers and CNC milling machines where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temp alloys. The single-end, right-hand cut geometry with a straight cylindrical shank fits standard 1/4 inch collets and end mill holders. The 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. This tool covers the HEV-6 series applications where a ball nose profile is needed for 3D contouring, profiling, and slotting operations.

A qualified machinist or CNC operator should install this tool using a properly sized and clean 1/4 inch toolholder to ensure runout stays within specification. Verify the TIR maximum of 0.0005 inch at the spindle before initiating cuts. Ensure the machine is fully stopped and spindle lock is engaged before inserting or removing the tool. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for solid carbide tooling in the specific workpiece material being machined.
