The APLUS PVD coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability, making this tool well suited for work in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Variable pitch geometry reduces chatter and improves surface finish at aggressive feed rates. Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Use a high-precision toolholder to maintain TIR within the specified maximum of 0.0005 inches; excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces tool life. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut parameters are established from the manufacturer tooling data for the specific workpiece material before cutting.
