The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59388 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the HEV-6 series platform, it features a 1-inch mill diameter, a 3.25-inch length of cut, and a 0.0600-inch corner radius. Six flutes with a variable index and right-hand cutting direction make this tool suited for both roughing and finishing operations. The APLUS PVD coating extends tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. Overall length is 6 inches with a 1-inch straight cylindrical shank. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers running high-precision toolholders. It is rated for primary application in steel and cast iron, with secondary capability in stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and other hard materials. The long-length configuration and centercutting geometry allow it to handle both slotting and peripheral milling in deep-cavity and extended-reach situations. It is single-ended with no chipbreaker and no coolant-through capability, making it best suited for flood or mist coolant setups where through-spindle coolant is not available.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC milling applications targeting steel, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials as part of the HEV-6 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before tool changes. Use a high-precision collet or hydraulic toolholder to stay within the 0.0005-inch maximum TIR specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
