The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59262 is a 6-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. With a 1/2 inch cutting diameter and a 5/8 inch length of cut, this tool is built for productive finishing and semi-finishing passes in demanding CNC machining environments. The APLUS coating reduces friction and heat buildup, extending tool life in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. A 37-degree helix angle and variable index flute spacing work together to reduce harmonic vibration and chatter, making this end mill a strong choice for shops prioritizing surface finish and dimensional accuracy in hard materials.
This end mill fits standard 1/2 inch collets and end mill holders, making it compatible with a wide range of vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as CNC mill-turn equipment. It is suited for slotting, peripheral milling, and plunge operations in steel and stainless steel components found in aerospace, mold and die, and general precision machining applications. The single-end configuration and straight shank allow direct installation into standard toolholding systems without adapters. The centercutting geometry supports direct plunge entry when needed.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Fits any standard 1/2 inch collet chuck, shrink-fit holder, or end mill holder. Part of the Helical Solutions End Mills for Steels 6 Flute Square Variable Pitch series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the straight shank fully into the holder and torque the collet nut or set screw per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a 6-flute geometry.
