The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59147 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.0600 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry paired with a 35-degree medium helix promotes efficient chip evacuation. A Zplus PVD coating is applied to improve lubricity and resist built-up edge on non-ferrous materials. This is a single-end, centercutting tool suitable for both roughing and finishing passes. It is sized for use in high-precision toolholders.
This end mill is built for CNC machining centers and manual mills operating on aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and secondarily on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. The Series H35AL-3 designation identifies it within HELICAL SOLUTIONS' aluminum-optimized line. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, contouring, and plunge operations where a corner radius is required to maintain edge integrity and reduce chipping at part corners. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are aluminum and non-ferrous metals. Secondary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. Series H35AL-3.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect runout after seating to confirm TIR is within tolerance before beginning a cut.
