The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59141 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in both roughing and finishing operations. It features a 0.5000 inch mill diameter, a 1.2500 inch length of cut, and a 0.0150 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 35-degree medium helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, while the Zplus PVD coating is optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous metals. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments install this tool in high precision toolholders where runout control is critical.
This end mill is suited for milling aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and secondary materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials. It belongs to the H35AL-3 series, which is engineered for aggressive aluminum machining strategies such as high-efficiency milling and conventional profiling. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and full slot milling. It is a regular-length tool with a straight cylindrical shank, making it compatible with standard collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders requiring a 0.5000 inch bore.
Designed for use with high precision toolholders requiring a 0.5000 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metals (Material Application Code N). Secondary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials (Codes P, M, S, H). Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS H35AL-3 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool release mechanism is locked out before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank to the full recommended gauge length in the toolholder and torque the collet nut or retention knob per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout at the cutting diameter does not exceed 0.0003 inch TIR before beginning a cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
