The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59061 is a single-end, corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous metal applications. Built from solid carbide with a Zplus PVD coating, it delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. The cutter features a 0.2500 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, a 0.0600 inch corner radius, and a 35-degree medium helix. Three right-hand spiral flutes and a centercutting design allow plunge entry and efficient chip evacuation. High precision toolholders are recommended to maximize runout control, with a TIR maximum of 0.0003 inches.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills handling aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and secondary materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in both slotting and profiling operations. The straight cylindrical shank and h6 diameter tolerance make it compatible with standard collet and shrink-fit toolholding systems. It is part of the H35AL-3 series, which is oriented toward aluminum and non-ferrous cutting where surface finish and tool life are priorities.
Designed for use with high precision toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are aluminum and non-ferrous metals. Secondary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials. Part of the H35AL-3 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and locked out per shop safety procedures. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into the toolholder before tightening to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure. Verify runout at the cutting edge before beginning a cut, as TIR beyond the 0.0003 inch maximum will accelerate edge wear. High precision collet chucks or shrink-fit holders are strongly recommended for this tool.
