The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59055 is a 3-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum and non-ferrous metals, with secondary capability in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. It features a 0.0150 inch corner radius, a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, and a 1 inch length of cut. The Zplus PVD coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in non-ferrous applications. With a 35-degree medium helix and right-hand flute direction, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and a balance of roughing and finishing capability in a single tool.
This end mill is suited for precision machining operations in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where close-tolerance profiling and contouring of aluminum and non-ferrous workpieces are required. The center-cutting geometry allows direct plunge entry. It is sized for use in high-precision toolholders and CNC machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation. The Series H35AL-3 design targets aluminum as the primary workpiece material, while the coating and carbide substrate extend usefulness across a broader range of workpiece materials when needed.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC machining centers with right-hand spindle rotation. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metal; secondary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials per Series H35AL-3 specifications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully in a high-precision toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.0003 inch maximum TIR before beginning a cut. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chipping before each use; a damaged corner radius will affect dimensional accuracy at part corners.
