The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59026 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. It features a 3/16 inch cutting diameter, a 9/16 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that protects the cutting edge and reduces chipping at the tool nose. The 35-degree medium helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, which is critical when milling aluminum. With three flutes and a right-hand spiral configuration, this tool supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous metal applications but is also rated for secondary use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. The uncoated bright finish is a common choice for aluminum machining, where coating buildup can cause material adhesion. The H35AL-3 series is engineered for use with high-precision toolholders to maximize runout control and surface finish quality. It suits CNC machining centers and manual mills where a 3/16 inch straight cylindrical shank fits the collet or end mill holder.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders as specified in the H35AL-3 series. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metals; secondary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or changing tooling. Seat the 3/16 inch shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as the maximum rated TIR of 0.0003 inch requires a high-precision toolholding system to achieve optimal tool life and surface finish.
