The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 48461 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in precision machining applications. Built on the H40ALV-3 series platform, it features a 0.5000-inch mill diameter, a 0.0150-inch corner radius, and 3 helical flutes with a variable pitch and variable index geometry. The Zplus PVD coating enhances wear resistance and thermal stability. With a 2.0000-inch length of cut and a 4.0000-inch overall length, this tool is suited for both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. It is centercutting and runs in a right-hand cutting direction with a straight-cylindrical shank.

This end mill is primarily optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous metals, with secondary capability in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. It is intended for use with high-precision toolholders and is well suited to CNC machining centers in production shops, tool rooms, and job shops requiring tight tolerances and consistent surface finish. Installation Notes

Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications when tightening retention hardware.
