The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 48236 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 3/8-inch cutting diameter and a 1/2-inch length of cut, this tool removes material efficiently across a range of workpiece materials. The 40-degree helix angle and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration and chatter during cuts. Zplus coating improves surface hardness and heat resistance for extended tool life. This end mill is specified by machinists and CNC operators working in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill suits applications in ferrous and non-ferrous machining where a short-flute, high-helix geometry is preferred. The 3-flute configuration balances chip evacuation and cutting edge strength. With a 3/8-inch straight cylindrical shank and 2-inch overall length, it fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling setups.
