The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 46806 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. It features a 1-inch mill diameter, a 0.0300-inch corner radius, and 3 flutes with a variable pitch, right-hand spiral configuration. The Zplus PVD coating delivers thermal and wear resistance suited to demanding cuts. At 9 inches overall length with a 6-inch reach, this tool is built for extended-reach applications where standard-length end mills fall short. It is centercutting and capable of both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool, making it a practical choice for machinists running tight-tolerance programs on CNC machining centers.
The 46806 is intended for use in CNC milling operations targeting aluminum and non-ferrous metals as the primary workpiece material, with secondary capability across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. The extended 6-inch reach and 0.9500-inch neck diameter make it well suited for deep-pocket milling, cavity work, and contour milling where clearance between the shank and workpiece is critical. It is rated for use with high-precision toolholders and carries h6 shank diameter tolerance for consistent runout performance. Maximum TIR is held to 0.0003 inches.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC machining center applications. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metals; secondary compatibility includes steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS H40ALV-RN-3 series.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a fully stopped and locked-out state. Seat the 1-inch straight-cylindrical shank fully into a high-precision toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before starting the program; maximum allowable TIR for this tool is 0.0003 inches. Do not exceed the recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and coating type.
