The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 35347 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It measures 5/8 inch in diameter with a 0.0300 inch corner radius and a 5-flute, right-hand spiral geometry. The APLUS PVD coating improves wear resistance and surface finish across roughing and finishing operations. At 6 inches overall length with a 4-1/8 inch reach, this is a long-reach tool built for deep-cavity and extended-reach applications. It is centercutting and single-end, with a straight-cylindrical shank sized at 5/8 inch. Variable pitch construction helps reduce harmonics and chatter during aggressive cuts. Machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working in job shops and production environments will find this tool suited to precision metalworking applications.
The 35347 is designed for use in CNC machining centers requiring extended reach into deep pockets, slots, and contoured features. Its HEV-RN-5 series geometry is optimized for primary work in low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron, with secondary capability in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The 3/4 inch length of cut and 0.5930 inch neck diameter allow clearance in tight-walled cuts while maintaining tool stiffness. High-precision toolholders are recommended to take full advantage of the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC machining centers. Recommended for HEV-RN-5 series applications involving steel, cast iron, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before mounting or removing end mills. Use a high-precision toolholder and verify runout against the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification before cutting. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool clamping torque and extension length.
