The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 35137 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 0.50 mm (0.0200 inch) corner radius, and five flutes arranged in a variable-pitch configuration. The APLUS PVD coating improves wear resistance and surface finish across a broad range of metalworking applications. At 4 inches overall length with a 2-1/8 inch reach, this tool is built for extended-reach operations without sacrificing rigidity. It is single-end, centercutting, and right-hand cutting with a right-hand spiral flute direction, making it suitable for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
The 35137 is engineered for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and consistent corner geometry are required. Its extended reach of 2-1/8 inches makes it well-suited for deep-pocket milling, cavity work, and contoured surfaces in low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron as primary workpiece materials. Stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium are listed as secondary material applications. The variable pitch eliminates harmonic chatter common in demanding cuts, and the APLUS coating supports higher cutting speeds in abrasive materials. High-precision toolholders are recommended to take full advantage of the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Part of the Helical Solutions HEV-RN-5 series. Recommended for CNC machining applications in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium per manufacturer material application designations P, K, M, and S.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and spindle locked. Use a high-precision toolholder to stay within the 0.0005 inch maximum TIR specification. Inspect the tool shank and toolholder bore for chips or contamination before seating. Follow the machine manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer torque specifications when securing the retention mechanism.
