The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 33752 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for aggressive roughing in steel and cast iron applications. It runs a 1 inch cutting diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius and a 4.25 inch length of cut, giving machinists the reach needed for deep-pocket and side-milling operations. The chipbreaker geometry on each of the four flutes breaks chips into manageable pieces, reducing heat buildup and tool deflection during high-material-removal passes. An APLUS PVD coating provides a hard, low-friction surface that extends tool life in ferrous materials. Variable pitch flute spacing reduces harmonic chatter, making this cutter well suited for dynamic milling toolpaths and high-speed roughing strategies.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers handling low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron. It fits applications where a long-reach rougher with a corner radius is required to protect part edges and reduce stress concentrations at floor-to-wall transitions. The 7 inch overall length and 1 inch straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard milling chucks, hydraulic holders, and shrink-fit toolholders rated for high precision. Single-end, right-hand cutting, centercutting design supports both plunge entry and full peripheral engagement cuts.
Designed for use with high precision toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron (ISO material codes P and K). Series HSVR-C-4.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC programmer familiar with carbide end mill handling and speeds-and-feeds selection for ferrous materials. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of runout before seating the shank; maximum TIR for this cutter is 0.0005 inches. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended axial and radial depth-of-cut parameters for the target material to avoid premature edge chipping.
