The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 33692 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for aggressive roughing operations in steel and cast iron. Part of the HSVR-C-4 series, it features a chipbreaker geometry and variable pitch design that reduces harmonics and chatter during heavy material removal. The 0.03-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and improves tool life in high-load applications. At 0.75 inches in diameter with a 3.25-inch length of cut and 6-inch overall length, this is a long-reach tool suited for deep-pocket and slotting work. The Aplus PVD coating provides thermal resistance and lubricity for extended performance in ferrous materials. Installed by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is designed for roughing passes in low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron. The long length of cut makes it well suited for deep cavities, tall workpiece features, and mold or die work where reach is a requirement. The variable pitch flute spacing reduces resonance at higher feed rates, making it a practical choice for high-efficiency milling strategies. It requires high-precision toolholders to maintain runout within the 0.0005-inch maximum TIR specification. Single-end, right-hand cutting, with a straight cylindrical shank for standard collet or end mill holder mounting.
Intended for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron. Series HSVR-C-4.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an appropriate safe state before changing tooling. Use a high-precision collet or end mill holder to maintain runout at or below the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum. Verify tool projection and stick-out are appropriate for the depth of cut to avoid deflection on this long-reach tool.
