The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 27122 is a 7-flute corner radius end mill designed for high-efficiency material removal and finishing in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. Built from solid carbide and coated with a proprietary APLUS PVD coating, this tool delivers extended tool life and thermal resistance in demanding cutting environments. The 0.50 mm (0.0200 inch) corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, improving surface finish and edge durability. It measures 1/4 inch in diameter with a 1/2 inch length of cut and a 2 inch overall length. The straight cylindrical shank is sized at 1/4 inch for direct chuck or collet mounting in high-precision toolholders.

This end mill is suited for roughing and finishing operations on steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals. It performs well in low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron applications, making it a versatile choice for mold work, die making, and general precision machining. Do not use this tool in center-cutting applications, as it is not designed for plunge entry.
