The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 05127 is a 5-flute, single-end square end mill engineered for finishing operations in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Ground from solid carbide stock and finished with an APLUS coating, it delivers the wear resistance and edge retention required in demanding production environments. The tool measures 0.2500 inches in diameter with a 0.3750-inch length of cut and a 2.0000-inch overall length. Right-hand cutting and right-hand helical flute geometry combine with a straight shank for direct chuck or collet holding. Machinists and toolroom professionals use this end mill where surface finish and dimensional accuracy on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temp alloys are the priority.
This end mill is designed for finish milling applications in both job-shop and production CNC environments. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, K, and S. The 5-flute geometry increases chip load per tooth at higher feed rates, making it well suited to light radial engagement finishing passes where material removal rate and surface quality must both be maintained. It is part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS End Mills for Steels 5 Flute Square Finisher series.
Designed for use in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temp alloys (ISO P, M, K, S). Straight shank diameter of 0.2500 inches fits standard 1/4-inch collets and end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Secure the straight shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring adequate shank engagement depth per holder manufacturer guidelines. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before cutting to protect the tool edge and workpiece finish. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material and depth of cut.
