The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 01092 is a single-end, three-flute square end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a ZrN (Zplus) coating, it provides the hardness and lubricity needed to maintain sharp cutting edges in gummy, soft-metal applications. The 3/16-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 5/16-inch length of cut and a 35-degree right-hand helical flute geometry that promotes chip evacuation and reduces built-up edge. Overall length is 2 inches. This end mill is suited to CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and high-speed spindle setups targeting aluminum alloys, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials. Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe, locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the straight shank fully in the collet or holder before torquing to the manufacturer specification for that holder system. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and should not be forced into interrupted cuts beyond their rated parameters. Consult speeds and feeds data for the specific aluminum alloy being machined to avoid work hardening or tool breakage.
