The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 00167 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous applications. With a 1/4 inch mill diameter, 2 flutes, and a 45-degree helix angle, this single-end tool generates efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during cutting. The Zplus coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in demanding production environments. It is a center-cutting tool, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and aerospace maintenance operations are the typical end users.
This end mill is built for milling aluminum and similar non-ferrous materials where chip load management and surface finish are priorities. The 45-degree helix angle is well-suited for high-speed machining strategies, including climb milling and high-efficiency toolpaths. With a 3/4 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length, it fits standard collet and toolholder setups for light to medium depth-of-cut operations on vertical machining centers and CNC routers.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully within the collet or toolholder to the recommended gauge line to minimize runout. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe lockout state before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
