Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a machinist or maintenance technician using the correct tangless insert installation tool matched to the 10-24 UNC thread size. The parent material hole must be drilled and tapped with the proper HELI-COIL tap to the correct insert-thread dimensions before installation. De-energize or lock out any equipment before performing thread repair on assembled components. Do not use tanged drivers or improvised tools, as they will damage the insert coils.
