The HELI-COIL A1191-3CNPF380 is a free running wire thread insert designed to restore or reinforce internal threads in tapped holes. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel with a primer-free finish, it installs into a prepared helical-coil tapped hole to create a durable thread form that meets or exceeds the strength of the parent material. The insert accepts a 10-32 UNF male thread and measures 0.38 inches overall length, corresponding to a 2D length-to-diameter ratio. It features a tanged design to facilitate installation with a standard HELI-COIL installation tool, making it suitable for production and repair applications across a wide range of industries.

This insert is used wherever a 10-32 UNF internal thread requires reinforcement, repair, or first-time installation in softer base materials such as aluminum, magnesium, cast iron, or plastics. Installation Notes

Installation requires a properly prepared tapped hole using a HELI-COIL or equivalent STI (Screw Thread Insert) tap sized for the 10-32 UNF insert. After installation, use a tang break-off tool to remove the drive tang where access allows.
