The HEIL hva936gka is a 3-ton, 5-stage split-system air conditioner from the HVA9 Series, rated at 36,000 BTU/h cooling capacity and 19 SEER. It uses a variable-speed rotary compressor paired with an ECM condenser fan motor to deliver efficient, quiet operation across a wide range of outdoor conditions. The unit runs on 208-230 volts, single phase, 60 Hz and draws 24.2 amps at rated load. Sound output ranges from 57 to 71 dBA depending on compressor stage. The Observer communicating control system integrates with compatible indoor equipment for system-level diagnostics and staged capacity management. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit.
The hva936gka is designed for residential split-system cooling applications where high-efficiency, variable-capacity operation is required. The communicating Observer control architecture allows the outdoor unit to coordinate staging and fault reporting with a compatible indoor air handler or furnace coil. The unit connects via sweat fittings to a 3/8-inch liquid line and a 7/8-inch suction line. Its steel cabinet with baked-on powder-coated and galvanized finish is rated for typical residential rooftop-adjacent or ground-level pad installations. R-410A refrigerant is factory charged; field refrigerant work requires EPA Section 608 certification.
Designed for use with HEIL HVA9 Series communicating split-system installations requiring a compatible Observer-system indoor unit. Specific compatible indoor equipment should be confirmed against HEIL engineering data and ARI-matched system tables before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer's installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. R-410A refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification; do not mix refrigerant types or use unapproved refrigerant. Confirm Observer communicating wiring compatibility with the indoor unit before startup and follow the manufacturer's commissioning sequence for the multi-stage control system.
