The HEIL hsa648gka is a 4-ton, single-stage residential central air conditioner rated at 16 SEER and 48,000 BTU/h cooling capacity. It uses an R-410A refrigerant circuit controlled by a TXV metering device and delivers airflow up to 4,046 CFM through a single-speed fan motor running at 800 RPM. The unit operates on 208/230 volts, single phase, and draws 26.1 amps at full load. A scroll compressor drives the refrigeration cycle, and a factory-installed sound blanket keeps noise output to 70 dB. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this system. It ships from the factory with a 208 oz refrigerant charge of R-410A.
The hsa648gka fits residential split-system cooling applications where a 4-ton cooling load has been determined by a Manual J or equivalent load calculation. The unit is CEC compliant for sale in California and carries Energy Star certification, making it suitable for projects requiring documented efficiency ratings. The communicating system architecture supports Wi-Fi-enabled remote access through a compatible Ion system control. The tight wire grille panels allow coil cleaning without panel removal, and corner posts add structural protection against weather and job-site impact. The aluminum fin coil and corrosion-resistant cabinet construction are suited to installations in humid or coastal environments.
Designed for use in R-410A residential split-system cooling installations within the HSA6 Series product family. Communicating system functionality requires a compatible Ion system control. Contact your local branch to confirm regional availability before ordering.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 refrigerant certification. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. Follow NEC requirements for disconnect sizing and wire gauge based on the 26.1-amp draw and 40-amp maximum fuse rating. Do not operate the unit without verifying that refrigerant line sets, airflow, and electrical supply match the equipment nameplate and manufacturer installation instructions.
