The HEIL d5cmrah18cak is a multi-zone ductless heat pump outdoor unit rated at 18,000 BTU/h for both cooling and heating. It operates on 208/230 volts, single phase, 60 Hz, and uses R-454B refrigerant. The unit achieves up to 25.2 SEER2 and 14 EER2 efficiency ratings, with a 13.9 HSPF rating for heating performance. The galvanized steel cabinet measures 35 inches wide, 26.5 inches tall, and 13.5 inches deep. Sound levels are rated at 52.5 dBA for both heating and cooling modes. Licensed HVAC technicians install and service this outdoor condensing unit as part of a multi-zone split system.
This unit is designed for residential and light-commercial applications where multiple zones require independent temperature control. It supports connections to two through six indoor air-handling units, making it suitable for multi-room or multi-floor installations. The system operates across a wide temperature range: 22 to 122 degrees F for cooling and 13 to 75 degrees F for heating, allowing year-round use in a variety of climates. Condenser high-temperature protection is built in to safeguard the compressor under high-load conditions.
Designed for use with compatible HEIL multi-zone indoor units within the QuietComfort Series lineup, supporting two to six indoor heads per outdoor unit at 1.5-ton (18,000 BTU/h) capacity.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 certification for handling R-454B refrigerant. Power to the system must be disconnected at the disconnect box before any service or wiring work. Line set sizing must match the specified liquid and suction line diameters; refer to the manufacturer installation manual for line length limits and elevation differences. Local mechanical codes and manufacturer specifications govern final placement, mounting, and refrigerant charge procedures.
