The HEATINGVARIOUSMFG-GENERIC LLD083S is a liquid line filter drier designed for use in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Liquid line driers protect the refrigerant circuit by removing moisture, acid, and particulate contamination from the refrigerant stream before it reaches the metering device. This drier is sized for 3/8 inch liquid line connections, making it suitable for a range of light commercial and residential refrigerant systems. Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC-R technicians during system commissioning or after a compressor burnout cleanup procedure.
The LLD083S fits into the liquid line of a refrigerant circuit, positioned between the condenser outlet and the metering device such as a TXV or fixed orifice. It is commonly used in residential split systems, packaged units, and light commercial refrigeration equipment where 3/8 inch liquid line sizing is specified. It is also an appropriate choice for post-burnout cleanup applications where acid and carbon contamination must be removed from the system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service part for residential and light commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems utilizing a 3/8 inch liquid line configuration.
Liquid line filter driers are installed by licensed HVAC-R technicians in accordance with applicable mechanical codes and refrigerant handling regulations. Always recover refrigerant and de-pressurize the system before cutting or unsweating the liquid line. Flow direction marked on the drier body must be observed during installation. After installation, pressure-test the connections for leaks before recharging the system.
