The HEAT CONTROLLER MCR015AEC30C0PS is a 1.25-ton horizontal water source heat pump designed for single-phase, 265-volt installations using R-454B refrigerant. It handles both heating and cooling by transferring heat between indoor air and a water loop or ground water source. The unit delivers a ground water cooling capacity of 16,700 BTU/h at 59 degrees F entering water temperature and a heating capacity of 13,800 BTU/h at 50 degrees F EWT. A coaxial heat exchanger and extended-range refrigerant circuit support efficient operation across a wide range of water temperatures. A built-in performance monitoring system alerts technicians to potential faults before they become failures.
This unit is built for horizontal installation in commercial and residential applications where ceiling or above-ceiling plenum space is limited. Its compact footprint makes it well suited for retrofit projects in hotels, multi-family buildings, and office spaces where floor area is at a premium. The right-return-air configuration supports common ductwork layouts in horizontal concealed applications. Efficiency ratings exceed ASHRAE 90.1 standards, making it appropriate for projects requiring code-compliant mechanical design. Water loop and ground water system configurations are both supported.
Designed for horizontal water source heat pump applications using water loop or ground water systems with single-phase 265-volt electrical service and R-454B refrigerant.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with water source heat pump systems. Shut off electrical power and isolate water supply lines before servicing or connecting the unit. Refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification. Electrical connections must comply with applicable NEC requirements for the supply voltage and ampacity of the unit.
