The HEAT CONTROLLER MARS-85017 is a straight, liquid-tight, non-metallic connector designed for use in HVAC electrical conduit applications. Constructed from PVC, this fitting provides a watertight seal where flexible non-metallic conduit terminates at an enclosure, junction box, or equipment knockout. The straight angle configuration simplifies routing in tight spaces. At 3/4 inches, it fits one of the most common conduit trade sizes found in residential and light commercial HVAC installations. Licensed HVAC technicians and electricians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This connector is suited for liquid-tight flexible non-metallic conduit (LFNC) runs in HVAC systems where moisture resistance is required. Typical applications include low-voltage and line-voltage wiring connections at air handlers, condensing units, fan coil units, and similar equipment where code requires protected wiring methods. The PVC construction makes it appropriate for damp and wet location use as permitted by applicable electrical codes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for 3/4 inch liquid-tight flexible non-metallic conduit systems used in residential and light commercial HVAC applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or HVAC technicians in accordance with NEC requirements for liquid-tight flexible non-metallic conduit fittings. Disconnect and lock out all power to the equipment before beginning conduit work. Hand-tighten the connector into the knockout and secure with the included or appropriate locknut to maintain the liquid-tight seal. Do not overtighten PVC fittings, as cracking the body will compromise the watertight rating.
