The HEAT CONTROLLER ASA1418S1-CY is a 1.5-ton residential split-system air conditioning condenser designed for use with R454B refrigerant. Rated at 14 SEER2 and built around a scroll compressor, this unit delivers efficient cooling for single-phase residential applications. The condenser coil uses aluminum tubing with an enhanced lanced fin design to maximize heat transfer capacity. The unit ships factory-charged for 15 feet of interconnecting tubing and includes a factory-installed high-pressure switch. A liquid-line drier is included loose for field installation. Licensed HVAC technicians perform this type of installation as part of a matched split system.
This condenser is suited for residential split-system cooling applications where a 1.5-ton, 208/230-volt single-phase unit is specified. It operates on 208/230V-1-60 power and accepts liquid and suction line connections sized at 3/8 inch and 3/4 inch respectively. The top-discharge configuration directs hot air and sound upward, away from occupied areas and landscaping. All units are factory run-tested before shipment. Pre-wired electrical panels allow for straightforward field hookup, and the electrical compartment is designed for easy access during installation and service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation condenser for residential single-phase split-system cooling applications requiring a 1.5-ton, R454B-compatible outdoor unit rated at 14 SEER2. Liquid and suction line connection sizes are 3/8 inch and 3/4 inch. Consult AHRI certification data and the equipment submittals for matched indoor coil or air handler compatibility.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the unit. Install the liquid-line drier shipped loose per manufacturer instructions before commissioning. Follow local mechanical and electrical codes, including applicable sections of the NEC, for line sizing, disconnect requirements, and equipment clearances.
