Product Description

The HEARTHRITE HRW18TN is an 18,000 BTU vent-free infrared radiant gas heater designed for supplemental space heating in residential and light commercial applications. Running on natural gas with a standing pilot ignition system, it delivers radiant heat without requiring a flue or exhaust connection. The thermostatic control maintains consistent room temperature without manual adjustment. An Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) automatically shuts the unit down if ambient oxygen levels drop to an unsafe level. The unit is AHRI-certified and Design Certified, operating at 99.9% efficiency with no combustion byproducts vented to the outside. Licensed gas technicians and qualified HVAC service contractors are the appropriate trades for installation and service.

The HRW18TN is intended for wall-mounted or floor-mounted installation in rooms where supplemental or primary zone heat is needed. The wall mounting kit is included. A floor stand kit is available separately for applications where wall mounting is not practical. An optional blower accessory can be added to improve warm air circulation throughout the space. This heater is available in natural gas configuration only. A manual-control version, the HRW18MN, is also available for applications where a thermostat is not required. This product cannot be shipped to the state of California.

Installation Notes

Installation must be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with local building and gas codes. Shut off the gas supply at the service valve before making any connections or performing service. Observe the required clearances: 36 inches to the ceiling above, 3 inches to the floor below, and 8 inches to any side wall. All repairs must be completed by a qualified service contractor.
